Harold Richard Mead, Sr., 85, of Battle Creek, died July 31, 2012 at Bickford Cottage. He was born September 19, 1926, the son of Harry R. and Esther A. (Rabbitt) Mead in Homer. Harold graduated from Battle Creek Central High School and served in the U. S. Navy.
